East Tennessee Kids Looking To Step Up Next Season

As the seniors have graduated, it's time for some new blood to step up and take over. Out in East Tennessee, there are some kids who will look to change the course of their program. They may not be household names, but contributors are looking to step in and showcase their skills as their team looks to turn the page. With the new transfer rule in effect and teams getting better, going to state looks a little different these days than it did in the past.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Personally, I do feel that we are going to see the changing of the guard. Especially out east, there seems to be a new source of energy going around. A lot of kids have been doing their thing as of late, not only in team camp settings, but also in individual skill showcase camps as well. She can attack downhill, knock down the 3 ball, but handling pressure is a strength of hers as she doesn't get rattled easily. On both ends of the floor, she is going to display toughness, especially around the paint. She is a heady ballplayer who can finish on multiple levels. When she gets a rebound, she has an arm to throw to a streaking teammate for an easy layup. This kid is tough with the ball in her hands. She can pull up in transition or come off screens. If she is able to get to her spots, it's lights out. Her game has grown throughout the offseason, and after competing in the finals, she will look to help her club return. She's a very physical low-block player who doesn't make it easy for the other team. Has a nice array of back-to-the-basket moves, contributes on the boards, and defends like crazy.
