New Faces in the Top 50 of the 2029 Rankings Expansion

With the expansion of the Prep Girls Hoops Florida Class of 2029 rankings from 30 players to 125, a number of new faces have entered the Top 50 since the rankings debuted in January. As always, rankings are not a snapshot of who played the best last weekend, but they are a projection of future college-level impact based on current skill set, physical tools, athleticism, long-term upside, and overall trajectory. The 2029 class remains the least viewed and evaluated group in the state that is ranked, which means there is still plenty of movement ahead as players continue to develop over the next several years. In basketball, factors such as size, length, athleticism, and positional versatility often carry significant weight because of how they project to higher levels of the game. Most importantly, players should not allow a ranking number to define them. Rankings are meant to recognize achievement, spark conversation, and provide an opinion on where a player's game currently stands while projecting where it could go in the future. Here is a look at some of those new names in the Top 50 who are firmly on the radar:    Ka'Lynn has put together a strong spring and freshman year that made a compelling case for her to be near the top of the rankings. Possessing a strong frame and physical style of play, she consistently impacts games by embracing contact and finishing through defenders with either hand around the basket. Her production with Essence 15U EYBL this spring stood out as she has shot 48% from the field against some of the highest-level competition in the country. Beyond the efficiency, KP showed an ability to be a reliable scoring option on a talented roster, highlighted by leading her team in scoring at Sebastian River as a Freshman. The combination of physicality, finishing ability, efficiency against elite competition, and continued growth has elevated her profile and earned her a spot among the 2029 Rankings in the Top 20.     Zamora was a straightforward addition to the rankings because size is one of the few traits that simply cannot be taught, and at 6-foot-3 she immediately brings a valuable physical tool to the floor. As a freshman, she averaged over seven rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game while continuing to show growth throughout the season for Ed White. What makes her particularly intriguing is that she combines her length with developing skill and athleticism which gives her a high long-term ceiling as she matures physically and gains experience. Zamora has improved with nearly every evaluation opportunity, and her ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor continues to trend upward. In a sport where height is always at a premium, players with her combination of size, athletic tools, and developmental upside are difficult to overlook, making her an easy addition to the expanded rankings.     Sa'kayla is a poised lead guard who already shows a level of production and control that translates well beyond her age group. Averaging 18 points per game as a freshman, she proved she can consistently generate offense while still impacting the game in multiple ways. She has crafty ball-handling ability that allows her to create separation and get to her spots, whether she's setting up teammates or putting points on the board herself in quick bursts. Beyond her offensive polish, Sa'kayla competes on both ends of the floor, showing willingness to defend and stay engaged. Her blend of scoring ability, playmaking instincts, and poise under pressure makes her a natural fit for the expansion of the rankings and a guard whose development trajectory continues to trend upward.     Sage emerged as one of the top performers on the DME Regional team by consistently standing out with her blend of size, length, and scoring versatility. She has the ability to impact the game at all three levels, spacing the floor as a shooter while also showing comfort attacking the paint and finishing in traffic. Her frame and length give her natural advantages on both ends, and she uses that versatility to stay effective in multiple roles depending on what her team needs. Sage also competes on the glass and isn't afraid of physical play, which adds another layer to her overall impact. When projecting forward, her combination of positional versatility, skill set, and physical tools makes her a strong addition to the expanded Top 50, especially in a class where adaptable two-way players carry significant value. She went an impressive 8-for-13 from three-point range (62%), showcasing both volume and accuracy against quality competition her age. At nearly 6-foot with length, her ability to shoot at that level of efficiency becomes even more valuable from a projection standpoint, as size and shooting are a premium combination at higher levels. Camdyn consistently moves well without the ball, showing a strong feel for spacing and timing as she works to find her spots and get set quickly into her shot. AC put together a solid freshman campaign on a sneaky good Sunlake team, emerging as one of their primary options across the board for her team. Operating as a quick, shifty lead guard, she plays with pace and confidence and consistently puts pressure on defenses with her ability to change speeds and create separation. AC has shown she can score from all three levels, using strong handles and burst to get downhill while also being capable of finishing or pulling up when defenders collapse. She also brings value as a passer, demonstrating good vision and an understanding of when to distribute versus attack. Her combination of speed, offensive versatility, and floor awareness makes her a natural fit for the expanded rankings and a guard whose game continues to trend upward with experience.
