Prime Event East Top Single Game Performances

The Prime Event East tournament had hundreds of teams across multiple age groups. With 30 courts there wasn't anywhere in the building that you could go and not find some good action to watch. Some of the nations best players were in the building but then there were players that had "that game". The game some will remember for the rest of their careers.    Jaci's second game at the Prime Event East was an incredible display of taking control and exerting of will. She got to the basket repeatedly and even when cut off by a help defender she found a counter to get to where she wanted. She made her outside shots forcing defenders to play up on her, a strategy that she also took advantage of.     Kimaya despite playing up a grade was the best player on the court in their initial game against the Running Rebels. She is a very athletic combo guard at 5'5" that has a nice handle and court awareness. Her shot was clicking in the game and she was very impressive getting downhill to the rim and finishing at the basket after contact.     Alexis looked like a player with a lot of upside the put everything together in a single game. She scored around 12 straight points for [program_tooltip program_id='715208' first='Elevate' last='Elite']. She scored on the offensive glass, with her back to the basket and even got a steal that she took the length of the floor for a layup. Add in a couple of blocks and she had a game that shows what she is capable of when everything comes together.     Iris put together a stretch of play in a game in a half where there was nothing that could stop her. I can't recall her missing a single shot in the stretch and most of her shots were either three pointers or free throws. The corner three was her weapon of choice but she showed that she could make them from anywhere on the floor. Her stretch was one of the most impressive that I've see all summer.     Charli put together a basketball master class in the game against the local rival Fairfax Stars. She came off the bench and put together a complete game while letting it all develop naturally. She attacked, shot and passed the ball nicely and made the right play every time. She seemed to get stronger and more confident as the game went on and you had the feel that this was her coming out game with her new team. She went on the shelf for the last four minutes of the game with her team comfortably ahead to rest an ankle that was stepped on.
