Summer was confident from beyond the arc Saturday. She was consistently knocking down 3-pointers. She got to open spots and was catching the ball shot ready. Her form and accuracy were consistent on makes and misses. She was not missing left or right, only missing long and short which she easily corrected in the flow of the game. She also showed a nice physical defensive presence on the other end. As a freshman at Immaculata HS, Summer hit 16 3-pointers and was 4th on the team in scoring and 3rd in rebounding.

[player_tooltip player_id='1830032' first='Jade' last='Casillas'] - [program_tooltip program_id='774068' first='NJ' last='Panthers']

Jade did a good job running the show for [program_tooltip program_id='774068' first='NJ' last='Panthers'] this weekend. She showed good discipline as the initiator of the offense. She drove to the rim when given opportunities, shot the deep ball when the defense played off and did a great job distributing to the point where, at times, she was almost too unselfish. As her jumper further develops she will be a versatile scorer. On the defensive end of the court, she showed the ability to guard very well on the perimeter. She stayed in front of the ball and forced guards to give it up. Jade played in 22 games as a freshman for a Teaneck HS team that went to the North 1 Group 3 Sectional finals.

Brooke Carney - [program_tooltip program_id='714650' first='NJ' last='Freedom']

Brooke was physical and aggressive inside all weekend. She attacked the rim and either converted or got the free throw line. She did a good job passing to cutters out of the high post and, on Saturday, she stepped outside and knocked down multiple 3-pointers. Defensively, she was aggressive on the wing of the [program_tooltip program_id='714650' first='NJ' last='Freedom'] press and their half-court zone.

[player_tooltip player_id='1627905' first='Alaina' last='Damico'] - [program_tooltip program_id='714650' first='NJ' last='Freedom']

Alaina is a slasher with great athleticism that had no trouble finding her way to the rim. She has a solid handle and takes good angles attacking the glass. She is a streaky shooter and when she's hitting 3-pointers it makes her dribble drive game even more dangerous. When she is locked in on defense she does an excellent job getting in passing lanes and getting steals. With her speed, those steals are easily converted into layups at the other end. As a freshman on a 23-6 Pequannock HS team that advanced to the North 1 Group 1 Sectional finals, she led the team in 3-pointers, was 2nd in assists and 3rd in points and steals.

[player_tooltip player_id='1859738' first='Viviana' last='Della Pesca'] - [program_tooltip program_id='714654' first='NJ' last='Shoreshots']

Viviana is a confident PG that showed the range and confidence shooting from well beyond the 3-point that made her dangerous. She used that range to extend the court and open up driving lanes for herself. She used patience, hesitation and change of direction to get in the paint where she was able to finish through contact. As a facilitator, she showed good vision in half court sets. Vivana saw action in 11 games as a freshman for a 23-7 Colts Neck HS team that won the Central Group 3 Sectional championship.

[player_tooltip player_id='1259152' first='Natalie' last='Whitehead'] - [program_tooltip program_id='714654' first='NJ' last='Shoreshots']

Natalie is a patient guard with deep 3-point range. She never forced the action. She let the game come to her and took advantage of defenders playing with their hands down. She worked hard to get open and was always ready for catch and shoot opportunities. Her ability to stretch the defense opened up lanes for her teammates to attack. Natalie played in 16 games as a freshman at Red Bank Catholic HS. RBC was the #1 team in New Jersey. With 7 of their top 8 players moving on to college basketball, there should be plenty of opportunities for Natalie to make an impact as a sophomore.
