Let's talk about players that can make something happen out of seemingly nothing. When a possession is breaking down or it looks like a play is going south, these players press the attack button and change the game with their ability to create. This article is the last of my coverage from the PGH Texas Tipoff (16U coverage). The final Texas event on the PGH tournament Circuit is June 27th in Houston, H-Town Havoc.

Goldsmith is only a rising 8th grader and playing with power and precision in the 16U division. She has a strong baseline attack and combine strength with size, and Goldsmith is dangerous as she draws contact when she goes up and finishes through physicality. She also showcased an impressive running jumper.

Powers gets in the paint to join the rebounding efforts and not only comes away with the boards but has the speed and IQ to spark her team's offense in transition. She's able to find the open man and shows signs of understanding spacing as she moves well off the ball.

What you do without the ball in your hand absolutely matters. Griffin made timely interior cuts down the lane line then used her length to catch and finish. She also made good reads and passes to find open teammates. She shares the ball well and uses her length as an advantage to impact the game on both ends.

Spratt may be an outlier in this article because she is the only big in reference. She sets the tone inside for her team, giving size and swatting shots away with clean blocks. She has the speed to get around players inside for steals. She gets in attack mode on the boards when she shot fakes to go back up or uses one or two dribbles to clear space.

Gary is a shooter and slasher. What sets her apart in attack mode is her ability to finish with either hand around the rim, which makes her difficult to defend. She shows good body control and craftiness with the ball as she seeps in the lane to create offense.
