Over the past two years, Nate Wickstrom and JD Andersen have put together a camp of 25 talented players, run them through skills workouts, and put them in a competitive environment. I've enjoyed attending the first two events they have put together, and I'm excited to see how they grow the event in the years to come. Over the next few days, I'll talk about some things I noticed from the players in attendance, what they showed through drills, some of the competitive drills, and short 5v5 games they played over the four hours in Mequon.

The Janesville native is among the most talented kids in Wisconsin, and showed why in Mequon on Sunday morning. Stevens was one of the most fluid athletes in the building and made most of the skills work look easy. I thought she looked comfortable in every setting she was put in. I also liked how comfortable she was finishing with her off-hand whenever she needed.

The Mukwonago native is one of the fastest-rising talents in the 2028 class, and she had a solid showing among other high-level prospects in Mequon. The 6-1 wing is a rangy athlete and can cover ground quickly with the ball in her hands. She also has the length to keep the ball away from defenders. I also thought she changed directions well for her size during the skills portion of the event and looked the part of a high-level prospect.

I was more curious to see how Nelson looked than most other players at the event, and she did a solid job throughout. The Oshkosh native is an athletic kid who did better in the skills portion than I expected heading into the event, because I hadn't seen her do as much with the ball in her hands as others. However, what surprised me most was how well she shot the ball in that setting. She isn't known for her perimeter game, at least at the high school level, but she shot the ball well at camp and looked confident from beyond the arc. She also thrived in the 5v5 portion of the event and was among the more impressive players during full-court games.

Sweeney made the skills portion of the event look as easy as I expected. The Appleton native is among the more skilled players in Wisconsin and showed why during the entire event. She shot the ball well, as expected, and overall seemed comfortable in every aspect. Sweeney has a way of making the game look simple, and honestly, she's a fun player to watch because she can make some of the hardest things to do on the floor look rudimentary.
