Five 2029 Prospects Who Caught My Attention at Super 64

At the Super 64, I had the opportunity to check out some talented 2029 prospects playing at the Fieldhouse. These five players earned high marks and notes in my evaluation book. I wasn't able to visit the other gyms, so if I missed you, send me your highlights and let me know!    Combo guard that got hot from the 3-point line in the game I watched. Young lady hurt her ankle in a game and was going back to the hotel to ice and rub it out. Example of a hard nose player that understood the opportunity during a live period. The toughness she has shown in her drives and takes on contact not avoiding it. A defender that does a great job in reading the off the ball passing lanes creating turnovers into open layups, Player that over the past year of watching continues to develop her game       Quick point guard that has a strong skill set. Great up-tempo guard that can change her direction on the dribble with a crossover or able to give you a pocket dribble and go by the defender. Natural point guard that can play off the ball as well Showed the range knocking down the outside 3. Good cuts on over plays scoring on backdoor cuts as well.   Quick hands and low stance gave ball handler issues resulting in turnovers for layups Good reads on the off the ball defense resulted in steals. Move lateral on the ball defense staying between offense and goal, 2029 guard to watch as her role in high school will increase this season due to graduation.     First 2 things that stood out were how long she looks and plays with a bunch of bounce. Feet always moving whether it is cutting to the basket on a cut or crashing the boards on a defensive putback. Showed nice outside shot that I believe could continue to develop allowing to play the 2 guard sometime soon. Great stride in her run getting out on the breaks filling the lane looking for the pass ahead.   The length on defense allows to give up space on the ball defense knowing she can still contest the shot. Good rotation on defense showing early help and contesting the layup 2029 that when you watch her play you can see the potential she has for the future.     Combo guard that really excelled at Super 64. If you are searching of a guard who can get paint touches and make things happen check out Channing. Good understanding of where the pull up spot is on drives rising with a goo lift and release around the elbow spot. Does an excellent job of using her body to shield off the defense avoiding the block shot. For a guard she has nice footwork with back to basket.   Hustler on defense and consistent movement off the ball scoring on backdoor cuts caught my attention. A 2029 that stood out in my notes.     A guard that when you watch her play you see that she enjoys the set up for the nice assist. Quick guard with up the floor vision that pushes the tempo on makes or misses. Strong enough passer to make that quarter court pass to the player filling the lane for the layup. Half court vision is tough as well-made good reads on the kick out or drops in what looked like a Dribble Drive offense. Impressive made 3 off the screen and a smooth in rhythm pull up jumper on the break. When getting to know Jaida found out she is an outstanding athlete volleyball being the other sport   2029 will continue to grow this upcoming season as she will get plenty of varsity minutes for a well-coached program.
