Elite New York Guards Who Climbed The Rankings This Spring

The state of New York is known for having its fair share of electric guards over the years. However, as time goes on, the talent pool continues to expand with exceptional players on the rise. Here are a few of our favorite ranked guards who went off in New York this Spring.    Addy Sipkin is one of the most gifted guards we have on the Prep Girls Hoops NY rankings. She's got the ability to light it up from deep, whether it's getting it off the catch or creating her own shots off the bounce. Addy is a multi-dimensional scorer who can also get to the rim with her tight handle and has a variety of finishes. Sipkin plays with creativity and pace, which mix for a fun watch when she's on the floor. Her size at the guard position is something that coaches will love as she continues to develop.     Shea Mullins is a true offensive threat at the guard position. Her versatility as a bucket-getter makes her a tough cover for opposing defenses. Mullins can knock down shots from beyond the arc with range while also being a threat to get into the paint as well. She has shown that playmaking is a part of her game. Reading the defense and making the right play are things Shea specializes in. Mullins plays with a certain energy on both ends of the floor, showing exactly why she's climbed the rankings this Spring.     Kallie McCoy is a 2028 guard who can flat-out get after it both offensively and defensively. On defense, she constantly puts pressure on ball handlers. While also thriving in the passing lanes for steals as well. The energy she provides is definitely infectious to her team. Her skill set on offense is showcased when she's on the attack, getting downhill. McCoy is a smooth ball handler who can make plays for herself and her teammates with ease. Her basketball IQ is a standout quality in her game.     McKayla Mcloughlin is one of the more polished guards in the 2028 class. She's a three-level scorer who can get to her spots anytime she wants. McKayla's ability to get out in transition, especially with the chaos she creates from the defensive end, is electric. Mcloughlin disrupts opposing offenses with her defensive instincts. McKayla's impact as a two-way player is what makes her a standout guard who has been climbing the rankings in the state of New York.     Londynn Gilchrest, as we've mentioned in previous articles, is an elite lead guard who dominates in transition. She sees the floor at a high level and gets it to her teammates for easy points. In the half-court set, Gilchrest can play both on and off the ball. She can shoot it out on the perimeter while also creating a ton of paint touch kick-out opportunities. Londynn brings quality leadership on the court. She knows how to make life easier for her teammates
