OPS had a convincing victory, winning 39-22. OPS was led by Gretchen Petro. Their team defense never allowed MBA to become comfortable. MBA struggled to score most of the game. It is good to see a player this young, play so smart. She spends a lot of time on offense in the high post. That spot is a thinking person's spot on the floor. Rylee is very good at making the correct decision at the right time with the ball. She knows when to pass to the cutters or go score herself. Mayscn played at her own pace regardless of the pressure. I truly enjoyed watching her survey the floor and make quality decisions. Mayscn calmly navigated through pressure defense and, time and again, would find or create an open teammate. She competed seemingly 1 vs 5 the entire game. Kandis continually defended multiple players at a time. When she was on offense, Kandis faced many double teams. When able to beat her opposing defender, there would be one or more players moving toward her from the position. If a player is going to become an excellent shooter, they must first have a shooter's mindset. Megan is a willing shooter, which is a good thing! Whether she makes or misses the shot, her demeanor doesn't change. Megan has shown the kind of quality you find today. She'll continue to grow.
