Friday marked the beginning of the second "live" period in July. Grassroots teams from all over the state have traveled to Louisville, Chicago, and Hamilton (OH), among other places, to give it one last go before the 2026 season concludes and school begins in August. Playing a little bit of catchup after a busy weekend, below is a look at some wing, forward, and post prospects who stood out during Saturday's action in Louisville at the Select 40 Finals and the Select Summer Championships.

Audrey is a uniquely skilled, hybrid type of forward. She has the height and length to play inside, and she does a really nice job when she's in the mid-post of understanding when to shoot, when to attack, and when to play high-low with her post. At the same time, she is comfortable handling it in transition and shooting the occasional 3-pointer. She has good vision and does a nice job of finding open teammates. For the college level, she will need to continue building strength and playing with more physicality, especially defensively, but all in all, she has a very nice skill package.

Watching Carly throughout June and this latter portion of July, she looks so much stronger, much more physical, and a lot more confident, especially offensively. She is almost like a power wing who has a strong frame, good all-around ball skill, and the ability to post up her defender and take advantage of her physical tools. At the same time, Carly has shown touch around the 3-point line, she has a solid mid-range floater, but she can also battle on the boards and come up with "scraps" baskets. She strikes me as the type of versatile forward a lot of small colleges love.

Until Saturday, I hadn't seen Samantha in a couple of years. She has a solid to strong frame, she's a nice all-around athlete, and she plays with a good motor. She's willing to do a lot of the "little things" to help her team win, but she also has a balanced skillset. She can shoot it from '3', she can attack the basket North/South, and she is capable of acting like a point forward and initiating the offense from time to time. With the talent around her in 2027 at Zionsville, Samantha could very well have a big year offensively, working without the ball to get open.

Briley has had somewhat of a streaky Spring and Summer, but when she is on, she is really on. She has a nice shot from the perimeter, and she can heat up quickly. She has good length, fluid athleticism, and even a little bounce to her. Playing with such a talented 2027 group at Franklin Central, she could provide some much-needed punch off the bench, and shots should come easy to her considering her classmates. Defensively, Briley can come out and defend the wing, or she can battle a little inside, though it wouldn't hurt to continue building her strength. She is a nice pursuing rebounder, though.

Because of her size, athleticism, and potential, Zo'e has been a draw for college coaches for the last couple of years. This weekend she looked much stronger, more engaged, and she was effective at both ends of the floor. Defensively, her size alone can be intimidating at times. Couple that with her length and athletic ability, and she is a good shot-blocker, plus she simply takes up a lot of the lane and discourages drives. Offensively, she did a nice job of establishing herself inside Saturday, and she finished with a couple of nice post moves. She has a lot of upside for the next level.

I saw Sidney briefly during June, so it was good to see her again at length this past weekend. Floyd Central has had a nice run of sizeable prospects the last few years, and she just adds to that. She has good length, nice strength, and she'll get out and run the floor with effort. She even has a little bounce in her. She is probably most comfortable in the mid-post, where she can shoot or drive it, but she does her share of posting inside, and she can drive it from the perimeter. Defensively, she is active inside and out, she can box out or pursue rebounds, and she can alter shots as well. She's definitely intriguing.

I hadn't seen Chloe since middle school, but she has grown quite a bit, she is a nice all-around athlete, and she could be an under-the-radar small college recruit. She has really nice length, a wiry strength to her frame, plus she can get out and run the floor. She will play with effort everywhere, and she's a solid defender and rebounder. Offensively, she's probably most comfortable in the mid-post where she can utilize her athleticism on drives or knock down the 15-footer. At the same time, she isn't uncomfortable around the perimeter, and she is athletic enough to defend some wings.

Trying to evaluate prospects without them playing a high school game can be tough, but Seerat definitely looks the part. She has an athletically strong frame, and she can get out and run the floor. She looks to attack the basket on each catch in the mid-post, and she finishes through contact against her peers. I don't know if she'll grow, but she could be 5-10 to 5-11 at some point. Otherwise, as she continues to stretch her game to the perimeter and shoots much more comfortably from outside, watch out! She's definitely an interesting younger prospect.
