2031 Standouts at WMD Open Gym: Part 2

<a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/program/west-michigan-drive/">[program_tooltip program_id='1226083' first='West' last='Michigan Drive']</a> held its Open Gym on Sunday afternoon at Wellspring Prep High School, bringing together a talented group of players for an opportunity to compete, develop their skills, and showcase their game. The youngest group in attendance featured the 2031 class, with players working through drill stations before putting those skills to the test in competitive 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 action. There was plenty of talent on the floor, and several 2031 players caught my attention with their skill, effort, and competitiveness throughout the afternoon. Here are some of the 2031 standouts who made their presence felt at the WMD Open Gym.    Ally put together one of the more complete performances at the WMD Open Gym, showing why she was one of the top players in attendance. The 2031 guard was a consistent scoring threat from beyond the arc, knocking down a step-back three along with several others from the wing, corner, and top of the key. She mixed pull-ups with catch-and-shoot opportunities and also used her strength to get downhill and attack the basket. Ally showed good hands defensively, recorded a block, and stayed active on the glass with offensive rebounds and putbacks. She also ripped baseline and finished with a smooth inside-hand finish, showcasing the variety in her offensive game.     Elisabeth's length and athleticism were on full display at the WMD Open Gym, and those physical tools make her an intriguing 2031 prospect to follow. She consistently attacked the basket with purpose, getting downhill and finishing well around the rim. Elisabeth also showed she can play with her back to the basket, doing a good job sealing defenders, establishing position, and using solid footwork to create scoring opportunities. She added to her offensive versatility by knocking down a long two from the corner. Her ability to score in multiple ways made her a difficult matchup throughout the afternoon.     Bela showed some promising flashes at the [program_tooltip program_id='1226083' first='West' last='Michigan Drive'] open gym. The 2031 guard knocked down a shot from behind the arc and showed a quick first step with the ball in her hands. She did a nice job attacking off the bounce, turning the corner quickly and getting downhill before the defense could cut her off. Her ability to threaten from the perimeter while also putting pressure on the defense off the dribble stood out.     Bela showed some promising flashes at the [program_tooltip program_id='1226083' first='West' last='Michigan Drive'] open gym. The 2031 guard knocked down a shot from behind the arc and showed a quick first step with the ball in her hands. She did a nice job attacking off the bounce, turning the corner quickly and getting downhill before the defense could cut her off. The 2031 guard connected from behind the arc and also showed she could attack the basket, slicing through the defense for a nice finish at the rim. She was active on the offensive glass as well, tracking down multiple rebounds and turning a couple of those extra opportunities into putback buckets. Her willingness to crash the boards from the guard spot added another dimension to her game.     Jacelin showed a versatile skill set at the [program_tooltip program_id='1226083' first='West' last='Michigan Drive'] open gym. The long 2031 guard used her length and ability to get downhill to create opportunities around the basket, including a smooth floater in the lane. She also showed some craft off the bounce, using a spin move in traffic to create space for herself. Jacelin ran the floor hard in transition and was rewarded with a bucket, while her length came into play defensively as she recorded a block.
