The new Oregon 2028 rankings are out, with several shifts near the top. This class, with nationally recognized players like [player_tooltip player_id='1013738' first='Love' last='Lei Best'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1013457' first='Jayla' last='Lackey'], is one of my favorite groups of players I've come across in my time covering girls' hoops. They have the whole package: talent, personality, leadership, iconic moments. Now, they are upperclassmen for the first time, which makes this a crucial period for their development and college recruitment. Below are a few juniors climbing up the rankings that aren't being talked about enough.

Lathen is poised under pressure, scoring 20 a night and shooting in the neighborhood of 60% from the field as the primary offensive option last season at Grants Pass. That season also saw her break the Lady Cavers' single-game scoring record with a 37-point outburst. She runs the fast break and creates for herself and her teammates while also having the length and strength of a bruising forward. Her skillset is made for Division I, and she has recently picked up offers from UNLV, Sacramento State and Saint Mary's. Portland-area prospects often get the most attention around here, but this budding superstar from the south deserves much more love.

Lindsey is one of those players who looks unstoppable when she reaches a flow state. The last time we saw her on a high school court, she reached that state, scoring 32 points in a playoff loss to Beaverton. She has creativity, three-level scoring prowess, and a smooth handle. She spent her summer playing for Alaska-based Tru Game on the Adidas 3SSB circuit. This upcoming high school season will be her first without her Fairbanks-bound sister Siri as a teammate. Jasa has true breakout potential this season and makes the Lincoln Cardinals a playoff contender once again.

Rodriguez may be the single most exciting talent from the eastern half of the state. She is a big guard who knows how to attack smaller players off the dribble. Her primary weapon is slashing, and off her drives she can either finish through contact, pull up from the midrange, or pick on a collapsing defense with dump-off passes. She is a well-conditioned athlete with great change of pace and subtle ball-fake moves to get defenders on their heels. Rodriguez averaged 15.6 points and 3 assists per game during club season with [program_tooltip program_id='713147' first='Oregon' last='Elite'] 17U on the Elite is Earned circuit.

Jablonski's summer with the Enforcers has helped her explode onto the scene. Her length, fluidity and versatility give her sky-high potential. She is one of our state's tallest players and projects as a college power forward, but she can play and defend all five positions in high school. She primarily played the stretch 5 role with Grant and showed off her outside shot. She emphasized strength training over the offseason and is seeing results on the court. After completing the Power 24 circuit, she attended eight college camps and visited several academically elite schools, including Dartmouth, Cornell and NYU. Jablonski has a 4.0 GPA, loves to challenge herself and has shown amazing maturity and self-esteem in every interview and interaction.

Decker is a consistent 3-and-D weapon, leading the up-and-coming Crook County Cowgirls with 55 threes last season. She has two all-league selections in as many years and is a core part of this program alongside 2029 sensation [player_tooltip player_id='1691387' first='McKinley' last='Sloper']. She is not a primary creator, but when she has the ball, she is comfortable navigating ball screens and pulling up from deep off the dribble. She is also clutch; her three at the buzzer gave the Cowgirls a 54-53 win over Madras on Jan. 6.
