MBL All Star Game: High School

During the months of August and September, Memphis has 4 girls basketball leagues going on. There are 2 leagues during the week and 2 on the weekend. This is great for me because it gives me the opportunity to watch a lot of players and even some players more than once.

The MBL League ran on Saturdays. Unfortunately, getting to the games was a challenge for me and I thought I had missed it.

Then I learned that the league was hosting All Star Games for the both the middle school and high school division.

Here are some High School players that stood out:

I believe Aalveyah played in all 4 leagues I attended. Every time she hits the floor she is going to play with above average effort and energy.. She was named the Player of the Game for the All Star game scoring 20 points. She rebounds. She shoots the mid range. She has three point range. In the All Star game, I noticed her unselfishness, leadership and anticipation skills. She made the extra pass. She was vocal and instructing one of younger players. She got some steals.

Haleigh was the league's High School Division MVP. She handled the ball a lot for her team during the All Star game. However, her game is scoring. She was the Points Leader during the league and I saw why. She created for herself to attack the basket, get the pull up shot, knock down the 3 ball and deep 3 ball.

Uzoamaka is not a player that will be limited to rebounding and stick backs.
