PGH WA Freshman Showcase – Team 5 Evaluation

The PGH Washington Freshman Showcase was last weekend and so many talented athletes came to compete! So many players stood out and fought hard the whole day! Here is the evaluation for team 5.   #405 - [player_tooltip player_id='1899761' first='Haylee' last='Ross'] - AMHS - Haylee is a fundamental guard who showcased a high IQ on the court. She attacked the bucket nicely, being able to absorb contact and get tough finishes down low. Ross also knocked down shots from deep, being ready to let it fly. She stood out during 5v5 play due to her great decision making and passing ability.   #406 - [player_tooltip player_id='1900362' first='Jacqueline' last='Waner'] - Camas HS - Jacqueline played with a lot of energy throughout the day, running the court in transition nicely. She pushed the pace well to get easy buckets while also being able to see open teammates leaking out and finding them with her pass. She defended nicely too, staying with opposing players and getting stops often.   #430 - [player_tooltip player_id='1830112' first='Jordan' last='Reeder'] - Lummi Nation - Jordan is a really quick guard with a lights out shot from deep. She has a great first step when attacking down-hill, being able to blow by opposing players to get paint touches. Her shot from deep extends a few feet beyond the three point line too, being able to hit the shot from anywhere. She defended nicely too, having good agility and being able to recover quickly.   #434 - [player_tooltip player_id='1891307' first='Farrah' last='Cseh'] - Sumner HS - Farrah played with a lot of energy throughout the day as she played well on both ends. She was one of the best two way players, making consistent plays with the ball in her hands and on the defensive side. Cseh is a player to watch in the 2030 class.   #436 - Selah Lee - Kings HS - Selah is a fundamental guard, playing off two feet and really having nice footwork. She attacked open gaps smoothly, either getting the bucket or finding open teammates. Lee knocked down shots throughout the day too as she always stayed ready to let it fly.   #446 - [player_tooltip player_id='1871560' first='Blake' last='Fatien'] - Juanita HS - Blake was a high energy player from the showcase. She was willing to get on the court and give for loose balls, having some of the best hustle out of anyone from the day. She stayed active on the defensive side, getting in the passing lanes often with her hands. She finished with both hands in the paint and knocked down jumpers too.   #448 - [player_tooltip player_id='1895930' first='McKenzie' last='Gooseman'] - Sammamish HS - McKenzie was one of the players who really caught my eye throughout the day. She was able to handle the ball and attack from the perimeter but also can use her strength and length in the paint to get tough buckets. She brought a lot of energy too, always cheering for teammates and being vocal on the court.   #978 - [player_tooltip player_id='1878158' first='Rachael' last='Olson'] - Kentridge HS - Rachael stayed active on the offensive side of the ball, making back door cuts and always moving to get open. She finished well in the paint and sealed opponents effectively during 5v5 play. Olson has a high ceiling on the court and can play multiple positions.   #994 - [player_tooltip player_id='1894181' first='Kiana' last='Ruud'] - Chiawana HS - One of the top performers of the showcase. She dominated the paint throughout the day, establishing her presence often and getting easy buckets down low. She can use either hand to finish as well as having elite footwork to get open shots in different ways. She's a top player in the class and one to keep an eye on.
