PGH WA Freshman Showcase – Team 6 Evaluation

The PGH Washington Freshman Showcase was last weekend and so many talented athletes came to compete! So many players stood out and fought hard the whole day! Here is the evaluation for team 6.   #404 - Jaydin Holmes - Ashland HS (OR) - Jaydin was a complete point guard, being able to dish the ball at a high level but also score from all 3 levels. She knocked down multiple deep shots throughout the day, not needing much space to get the finish. She was someone who can adjust to what the defense gives her on the fly, displaying a very high IQ.   #410 - [player_tooltip player_id='1895939' first='Alexia' last='Wise'] - Puyallup HS - Alexia was fantastic in the transition game, pushing the pace nicely and being able to find open teammates easily. Wise has a reliable jumper too and isn't scared to shoot it if she is left open. She rebounded really well for a guard too, hustling for loose balls and not being afraid to get physical.   #412 - [player_tooltip player_id='1824596' first='Zoey' last='Wonderful'] - Sumner HS - Zoey was a high level guard throughout the showcase, showcasing a complete offensive game. She knocked down threes with ease, contested or not and let it fly with confidence. She attacked the ball with both hands at a high level too, being able to finish through contact.   #425 - [player_tooltip player_id='1606101' first='Taylor' last='Haak'] - Liberty Christian HS - Taylor was a player who continued to get buckets all day long. She played great in the 3v3 section of the day, attacking the ball and finding open teammates when the defense collapsed in. She was excellent in transition during 5v5 play, being able to use her speed to push the pace. Haak rarely turned the ball over throughout the day too and was a standout from the showcase.   #431 - [player_tooltip player_id='1901445' first='True' last='Thompson'] - Evergreen HS - True was a high level defender on the day and did a great job getting hands in the passing lanes and staying with opponents. Thompson got down-hill well throughout the day too, getting a lot of paint touches and finishing nicely around the rim. She's a player to keep an eye on in the 2030 class.   #438 - Lusia Moran - Skyline HS - Lusia is a player who can play anywhere on the court and make a big impact. She handles the ball nicely, attacking open gaps and being able to keep her eyes up to see open teammates. She knocks down shots nicely too, staying ready to shoot it. Her court vision really stood out during 5v5 play but also stayed patient and didn't force anything that wasn't there.   #440 - [player_tooltip player_id='1878450' first='Iylee' last='Rojas'] - Decatur HS - Iylee was a fundamental player throughout the day, always doing the little things. She boxed out in the paint every possession and kept fighting for rebounds relentlessly. Rojas was a solid finisher around the paint throughout the day, staying strong and being able to use both hands.   #455 - [player_tooltip player_id='1309631' first='Arnyia' last='Robinson'] - Decatur HS - Arnyia was a standout from the showcase as she showed her ability to score from all 3 levels. She was dominant in the panic using her strength to get easy buckets and grab rebounds with ease. She hit deep shots throughout the day too, being able to step a few feet beyond the 3 point line to drain the shot.   #976 - Ellen White - Seaside HS (OR) - Ellen made some nice shots throughout the day. She rebounded the ball nicely too, being able to box out efficiently and use her length to her advantage. She set great screens and rolled hard down the paint. She brought the energy and went 100% every single possession.
