Ready For the Bright Lights: 2029s On The Rise

There is something intriguing about this class for sure. In previous articles, I highlighted the class as being one of the sleeping classes playing in the high school realm. Given the opportunities they've had playing travel ball and getting varsity minutes at that school, I personally feel there will be an upswing in their contributions, especially to their team's success.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As I look across the landscape of this class, I have found some talented kids throughout. It will be interesting to see how their talent blends with others as they look to take the next steps towards the top of their districts. Some will be integral parts of their teams as they look to go deep into the postseason. Others will be solid foundations for a brighter future. Either way, the 2029 class will be right near the top in contributions.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I am eager to see this class succeed. It's their time to shine, that's for sure. A multi-level scoring threat who is a strong finisher at the rim and can shoot daggers from the arc. Always seems to be in the mix no matter what. Is a solid defender who is always in position to jump passing lanes and get deflections. Another solid talent of hers is her rebounding ability. She is a beast from the perimeter. Give her any kind of space, and it's lights out. She shoots it with confidence and takes the momentum away from the other team; whenever her ball goes in, her team gains an extra pep in their step. She brought it as a freshman, and with her sophomore season right around the corner, you better believe she is ready to capitalize on what she did the previous year. She is a solid talent ready to light up the East Tennessee scoreboards. She is a solid defender who is on the boards for her club. When it comes to her offensive game, she can knock down shots from multiple spots, use her body to take advantage of mismatches, and really finish both in the paint and in the mid-range. Her role will increase this upcoming season. She will be looked to heavily to control the interior and provide stability. Her presence is felt on both ends of the floor. On defense, she is a solid on-ball defender who can create turnovers. She has a knack for being around the ball, and if she is playing off-ball, she is always in the lane and closes space real quick. Offensively, she can get to the rim and knock down shots from the perimeter. She can play either guard spot, being a versatile component to a lethal offense. Look for her to contribute early and often this season. PCA will look to continue their winning ways, and you better believe Lila will be right there to help lead the charge.<br><br></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
