Some Standout Point/Combo Guards at the Maryville Elite Camp

Prep Girls Hoops Missouri takes a look at some of the point/combo guards that caught our attention at the Maryville University Elite Camp.

Nicole Jones: A 5'4" point guard from Conway (AR) who was a tough cover because she has the speed to blow by defenders on straight line drives and she combines it with her 3-point shooting prowess. She was pulling up and knocking down multiple 3-pointers during the day. She did a nice job of scoring over taller defenders when she got into the lane on the drive. She could also penetrate and locate open teammates when she drew defenders to her.

Ella Huskey: A 5'8" 2029 guard from Weeping Water (NE) who has good positional size and athleticism to go along with it. She is a high energy performer at both ends of the court. She did a good job of getting downhill on the driving and converting in traffic. She is a good passer who can put the ball on the money with her court vision. She can also shoot it from 3-point range.

Olivia Woockman: A 5'4" 2028 point guard from Millard South (NE) who has good quickness and who plays with a pass first mentality. She was running the pick and roll very well as she made the pocket pass to the short roller or turn the corner to get downhill on the drive. She also did a good job feeding the ball into the low post to the bigs.

Kiersten Tebockhorst: A 5'7" guard from Independence (IA) who is a high energy player who was really getting after people on defense. She was picking ball handlers up and providing some good on-ball pressure and even picking pockets in the open court. She was also very good when she got out in the transition game where she was a good finisher.
