The Future Is Now: 2029 Prospects

This season, there will be a lot of newness as we embark on the year ahead. You will see some schools toying with the shot clock implementation during opening week. There will be many roster additions and turnover due to the transfer rule. What I am most excited about is the 29 class becoming more established in their schools' rotations.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Just like anything else, each year we have a new crop of prospects entering the fray. Yes, the 29s were part of this pageantry last year; however, some may not have had the opportunity because of how their schools' rosters were constructed. This upcoming season, I guarantee you that you will see more 29s get court time based not only on their opportunity, but how they have gotten after it throughout the circuit season and this offseason.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I am very encouraged and intrigued by what lies ahead for this class. I love the overall makeup of these kids. Love their grit, tenacity, and willingness to compete. Though we will continue to uncover more throughout the year, here are a few that have piqued my interest lately. This kid, in my opinion, is about to be one of the next top PGs hailing from the Murfreesboro area. A kid who can attack gaps by changing speeds, she brings a nice outside game to the fold along with her ability to penetrate and finish at the rim. I love her defensive ability and how she creates chaos by utilizing her quickness. She will be in charge of leading an up-and-coming Oakland team. This kid is a tough competitor who doesn't shy away from any smoke. I love her temperament, her ability to have poise with the basketball in her hands as she scopes out the floor. She doesn't get rattled, makes the right reads, and is a three-level scoring threat. She's a tough, focused, determined ballplayer who is selfless. This kid has been in the lab working on her game; look for her to bring a lethal scoring attack to the Tiger offense. She will be ready to get going as soon as the season kicks off. She is a solid two-way ballplayer who plays with speed, power, and tons of energy. Anticipates well, her athleticsm is off the charts and enables her to get in position to captialize off other team's mistakes. She can score from multiple levels, defend like crazy, but it's her willingness to do the little things to help her ball club that truly stands out. Look for her role to increase this upcoming season. Offensively, she is going to go through you, exploit the inside, and create problems in and around the paint. Defensively, she will use her size and speed to create problems. She will fit nicely with a talented team and really help them contend for some hardware this upcoming season.
