30s Have Arrived: Expo Standouts from a Class That Didn't Blink

My oh my. The 30s have arrived. I was pretty impressed with what I saw from this class. Don't get me wrong, the other classes did their thing as well and flexed who they were. The 30s didn't back down or bat an eye. With me, it's all about competition. Competing at the highest level. Being the best version of yourself and showcasing the blessings you have been given. Sure, we all work on our craft, but the 30 class definitely showed they were cut from a different cloth. I loved how they went after the upperclassmen and showed them that, over the next few years, they would be a force to be reckoned with themselves. I will continue to highlight and talk about this class over the coming months, but I wanted to highlight a few kids who did their thing at The Expo this past weekend. People, please don't let her size fool you. She's pretty darn good at this game. A heady floor general who displayed her handles and drew the defense to collapse on her, allowing her to make the right read and kick it out to an open teammate. Countless times, she fed her teammate, which led to an easy bucket. She, too, went to work and was in attack mode, but her selfless play truly shined as she got after it on both ends. Keep tabs on this young lady as she is ready to bring it for the Lady Wildcats ball club. A kid who brings a lot to the table, she knocked down shots, was on the boards, and defended really well. The qualities on display are the same ones she brings to the Lady Panthers teams. Has size, knows how to use her body, and brings a solid two-way game to the table, contributing in multiple ways. Look for her to be an important piece to this FRA ballclub. One who is going to surprise many people this upcoming season. An underrated kid who displayed toughness and grit. She picked her spots to exploit, but also contributed on the boards. I loved the way she hustled and competed, and you can tell her game has truly grown. I expect her to come into the Father Ryan program, grasp concepts quickly, and get on the floor. She's a kid who is going to play the game the right way and do the little things right. Look for her to continue to grow and be a solid piece for this Lady Irish program. Long, rangy kid who plays with speed and grit. She was all over plays, causing havoc. Made shots, was aggressive in attack, and contributed on the boards. She's a solid two-way player who will be a problem, especially down the stretch. She's young but has shown a lot of promise. Look for her to learn, grow, and compete to become a special talent for that Ensworth program. She's a kid to definitely keep an eye out for. This kid can finish around the rim and has range to her game. Strong as an ox, she can put someone on her hip, give them a bump, and finish shots. She played with grit, got after it on both ends of the floor, and brought a solid body of work to the Expo. Those who don't know her know she's a talented kid who goes the extra mile to get things done. A workhorse, she's physical, works on her craft, and turns it up when the lights come on. Look for her to step into this Lady Bruins program and give them a spark this season. She will be someone who contributes early and often to that club. Look for her to have a bright future and compete at a high level when it's all said and done.
