The Expo was in the books, and we saw a talented crop of players who traveled to Appleton through the fog to play basketball on Sunday Morning. Over the next week or so, we will look at the high school players and highlight what they brought to the floor during the 5v5 portion of the event. We had over 80 players at the Expo, and we will highlight what each did to stand out in their minutes. Let's talk about Team Three.

The Eau Claire native is coming off a knee injury and looked solid at the Expo. She showed she can play on or off the ball and make winning plays for her team. I thought she had a burst on her first step and will only get faster over time. She also had confidence with the ball in her hands as a creator.

The Racine native is a solid athlete who did an excellent job of moving without the ball and forcing her defender to stay attached. She also used her athleticism to make plays in transition and beat her defender down the floor in either direction. She has the physical tools to impact games.

The Osceola native is a physical guard who can defend against larger players around the basket. Haase can switch on ball screens and hold her own around the basket. I also liked her effort in transition and how well she played in traffic. She gives her coach options on both ends.

Mlada was an excellent connector on the floor for this group. The Grafton guard didn't go out looking to score every time down the floor, but she impacted each possession when she got the ball in her hands. I liked her confidence on the ball and her ability to get her teammates open looks. She played away from the ball too and stayed engaged by moving without the ball and keeping her defender occupied.

The 5-10 wing from Sun Prairie can shoot the ball and space the floor whenever she's on the court. No matter who she shares the floor with, she will help open the lane for her more ball-dominant teammates to get downhill and make things happen around the basket. She is a rhythm shooter who can go on runs at any time. She also has the length to make plays on the ball as a perimeter defender. She can help a lineup on offense.
