Six Unranked Seniors to Know

As we head into the last couple of months before the basketball season starts back up, let's take a dive into some unranked seniors who should have your attention. Most of these players were at least honorable mention all-league players last season and each of them will play big roles for their teams this winter. Check out some girls who shouldn't remain unranked for long.    The senior is a good mover off the ball and can capitalize on space for catch and shooter threes, shooting 35% last season with 47 3PM. She was second on the team in scoring at 13.9 PPG and seemed to do a lot of it with her movement and cuts. She sees space well, is efficient at the hoop, and has some length that can play defensively. The Jags lose last year's top scorer and playmaker, likely meaning some higher usage for Bhullar this winter.       Schneider was an Honorable Mention All-KingCo player last season, averaging 9.4 PPG and playing both guard spots. She plays with good ball security, keeps the rock flowing using both her dribble and the pass, and does a great job keeping the dribble alive showing the willingness to pull it back out when driving lanes clog up. She's more of a creator than a scorer but can still attack the hoop and plays with a good motor.       Marsh is an outstanding passer who can make all kinds of dishes. She plays with a scrappy mentality, hustling for loose balls, pushing the ball down the floor on offense, and is aggressive on drives. She really sets the tone for a Mercer Island squad that finished second in the KingCo 3A last season. She had nine games last year with 10+ assists and four with 12+. She'll be a playmaker to watch again this winter.       The Blue Devils forward was their second-leading scorer and top rebounder last season. With two of their other top players graduating this past summer, Hutchens will likely enter the winter as Walla Walla's top option on offense. She's successful inside because of her ability to find space deep by the hoop and finish with either hand. She has great activity both moving with drives and searching for space to attack the glass. She had four double-doubles last season and scored in double figures in all but seven games, including a big 30-point 18-rebound game vs Ferris.       Pierce recently committed to D-II Azusa [program_tooltip program_id='716198' first='[program_tooltip program_id='714514' first='[program_tooltip program_id='713132' first='Pacific' last=''] last month and was a key player last season for Lewis and Clark, leading them in points at 11.7 PPG and 3PM with 52 while also shooting 82% from the foul line. She has a pure stroke from deep, can drive to the hoop with either hand, does a great job running off of screens and moving without the ball, and is patient offensively waiting for the right opportunity to attack.       She's a taller player for a Brewster team that finished 4th at State last season. She was second in scoring for the Bears (12.9 PPG), first in rebounding (9.5 RPG), and third in APG (2.3) and SPG (2.9). She shows great straight-line speed which allows her to get up the court with or without the ball and be a big factor on breaks. She's a double-double threat who can also distribute a bit from different areas and situations.
