. She’s earned the lion’s share of ball-handling duties and has attacked teams that press head-on. Against Vel Phillips Memorial, Rauwolf’s ability to attack off the dribble, cut through a full-court press on her own, and her willingness to get to the rim was why the Wildcats won that game. She hadn’t played much, if at all, before this season, but she’s been outstanding.

The 5’6 Wildcat pushed the ball up the floor off inbounds passes to nullify the full-court press that the opposing had on the Wildcats all night, and Rauwolf routinely turned that pressure into shots at the rim. The sophomore led the game in scoring last night due to her finishing at the rim and ability to knock down free throws all night. Rauwolf may not be a box-office name statewide, but she’ll keep winning Verona games.
