Just as we began our 2028 point guards article with someone who caught our attention from the Prep Girls Hoops Carolinas Showcase, the same applies here. Bell was one of those who really shined at the Rock Hill Sports and Event Center and it told us that 4A Rocky River has a bright future. Bell already holds offers from Queens and North Carolina Central University and was playing up in class during the spring and summer months of AAU with Team Loaded 16U. Her club career also included a stint with Charlotte Monarchs. Last season with United Faith Christian Academy, she played in 21 games as an eighth grader and averaged 13 points, four points and 2.7 steals a contest.

Rorie may be advancing into her freshman campaign with Winston-Salem Christian but she already has amassed more experience than the average freshman. She has been playing at the varsity level since she was in the seventh grade. Rorie can give a team worthwhile minutes as a two guard but she can also give a team production as a one. It is not every day that someone as young as Rorie is displays top-tier leadership skills, but there is a reason why she stands out among the state's crop of 2028s. Rorie is coming off a spring and summer where she ran in the grassroots realm with [program_tooltip program_id='713516' first='FBC' last='Carolina Elite'] Phoenix 15.

Curtis is another who can play as either a two guard or as a more traditional point guard. She stands at 5-foot-5 and wears the uniform of JD4 Flames during the AAU months of the spring and summer. Curtis is poised to be a great addition to a 2A Barlett Yancey team that won eight games last season. Six of those eight victories were at the expense of Graham, Cummings and Jordan-Matthews. Curtis prides herself on being a quick decision-maker and understands the art of keeping defenses guessing by either attacking the rim or attempting a long-range shot. She also emphasizes maintaining a high degree of energy and displaying exceptional leadership attributes.

Following a spring and summer where she wore the uniform of Wake Warriors, Platz is more than poised for an impressive breakout freshman season with 4A Apex Friendship. The Patriots had a massive drop off in terms of victories from the 2022-23 season (23) to last season (six) but the addition of Platz could be the beginning of a new ascent for Apex Friendship. Standing at 5-foot-7, Platz in particular emphasizes defense and how that can translate into what she does on the other end of the floor. Ball handling is another key component to her game that Platz stresses.
