Macey joins fellow teammate Lauren on the same post-season awards lists, earning a spot on the All-Region team as well as a spot on the ND Coaches Association 2nd-Team All-State team. Macey is a very unselfish player and averaged 5 assists per game as a junior. She also led her team in rebounding. Van Inwagen is an excellent facilitator on offense and another tough defender for the Bison. She is a very fast athlete and really good in transition.

Macey is a great athlete and moves extremely well. She can knock down the midrange jump shot. She makes good decisions in 2-on-1 transition opportunities, knowing when to take it for a finish and when to dump it off to a teammate for a layup. She has great jumping ability and can leap higher than most of her opponents for finishes.

Macey was an All-Region selection last season as a freshman for good reason. She is a really good player and will find herself on that team for the rest of her high school career. She is a very good on-ball defender, shadowing the ball and deflecting many passes. She does a lot of things naturally, like finding the open space when breaking the full-court press and utilizing pass-fakes to gain an advantage. Macey is also a terrific shooter, being able to knock down mid-range jump shots as well as three pointers.
