Jaci Rainey Jaci Rainey SG/PG Sylvan Hills | 2026 State AR has established herself as one of the top shooters in the 5A Central conference, and may soon find herself as a top shooter in the entire 5A classification. She had a solid week of games, including her performances from Tuesday’s 73-44 win over eSTEM, and Thursday’s 58-79 loss vs Mills.
Rainey had a season-high of 23 points in Tuesday’s victory, scoring 21 of those 23 points from beyond the arch. All seven of her triples were off of catch-and-shoot scenarios, and if she has enough space and is able to set her feet, Rainey is nearly unstoppable from outside. Her release timing is adequate, but she uses a high arch to get the ball over the closeout.
Rainey’s performance in the loss to Mills also consisted of her catching fire from the outside. All 12 of her points came from triples, and it is clear as to what her role on this Lady Bear team is.
If Jaci Rainey Jaci Rainey SG/PG Sylvan Hills | 2026 State AR can continue to heat up from the perimeter each night, Sylvan Hills might start making some noise in the 5A Central.
