First Team: [caption id="attachment_114534" align="alignleft" width="399"] Photo: Jack Lydon[/caption] Angela Dugalic, Maine West If there was such a thing as a unanimous first team vote, Dugalic would have it. Having already made a tremendous impact for Maine West in her first three seasons, the Oregon commit will have to take another stem forward after losing teammate Rachel Kent to graduation. Halle Douglass, Lake Forest Douglass won't put up the ridiculous scoring numbers that others on this list will, but what she lacks in points, she makes up for in rebounds, assists, and her tremendous defensive ability. Darrione Rogers, Lake Park Arguably the best pure scorer on this list. Rogers has the ability to score points in bunches, no matter what kind of defenses her opponents are throwing at her. After leading Lake Park to their first regional title since 2009, Rogers will look to make an even deeper run this season. Kayla Green, Whitney Young Kind of got lost in the shuffle last year of a very talented Whitney Young team, but Green was actually the Dolphins leading scorer las season. Extremely athletic who drives the ball well, good perimeter defender and playmaker. Brianna McDaniel, Kenwood McDaniel already made quite a name for herself last year as a freshman. With D1 offers coming in weekly, expect to see a big jump in production from one of the best sophomores in the country. Second Team: Brooke Schramek, Benet Schramek has all the intangibles in the world, it's always been a matter of putting them together. With some big losses to graduation last season, expect a big senior season out of the Wisconsin commit. Taylor Gugliuzza, Lincoln-Way West One of the best shooters in the state got a little more help this season. With post Brianna Woolridge transferring in, it should open up some more space for Gugliuzza to put up some more gaudy scoring numbers. Lindsay Blackmore, Geneva The standout player on a Geneva team who should take a big step forward from last year. Big, athletic, forward who can score from all areas on the floor and a terrific post defender as well. Greta Kampschroeder, Naperville North We've all seen Kampschroeder's ability to score from everywhere, and defend at a high level over the past few seasons, but this is the year for her to really shine and help bring Naperville North some playoff success. Kayla Henning, Evanston A healthy Kayla Henning could be the difference between a state run and a sectional run for Evanston. Like some other on this list, she doesn't put up ridiculous scoring numbers, but her playmaking ability and the way she sets up her teammates arguably makes her the most important player on a very good team. Third Team: Sydney Affolter, Marist Has one of the best inside-out games in the state. Runs the Marist offense extremely well whether she is bringing up the ball, or passing out of the high post. High basketball IQ who will only get better with the more experience she has. Emily Klaczek, Fremd Fremd's under-sung point guard poses a lot of matchup nightmares for opposing guards. A tall, strong athletic, guard who handles the ball well and knows how to use her size to her advantage, Klaczek is the piece that makes Fremd go. Aneesah Morrow, Simeon A throwback guard, who is one of the best at getting to the basket. Also not afraid to post up on smaller guards when need be and often is put on the opposing team's best offensive weapon no matter what position they play. Kendall Holmes, Benet Silky smooth scorer. There will be a lot more attention on Holmes this year but the DePaul commit has never shied away from a challenge in her career thus far. Jenna Badali, Mother McAuley It's often forgotten that Badali was Mother McAuley's leading scorer during last season's state run. As the only starter remaining from last year's squad, she will have much more attention on her but will also have a lot more opportunities to add to her scoring output.
