A’Mari Dugger was all over the court making tough cuts to the basket.  Her box out was difficult to get around making sure she was getting the rebound.  She used every bit of her length to protect the basket on the other end blocking shots and deflecting passes.  She was tough on the court going after loose possessions making sure her team had a chance for it.

After a freshman season for 5A Division 2 Westwood that saw Dugger play in 22 games, coach Gregory Bauldrick is looking for Dugger to take that next step in her development as she begins her sophomore season. Last season was Dugger’s first with the Redhawks after transferring from White Knoll. A Team Unleashed South Carolina product, Dugger as a defender knows how to read plays before they happen, enabling her to play heads-up and come through with defensive stops. She also knows how to turn defense into offense by getting out in transition and delivering strong finishes at the cup.
