Creme of the County Report: 2021s on Deck

<span style="font-size: 14pt">The Creme of the County Report:  <strong>Marlon Wells</strong> - <strong>Director of EBO, Bishops Head Basketball Coach, President and Founder of San Diego County Hoops Report</strong> put on a great event yesterday at <strong>Mira Mesa High School</strong> for all to see.  He put together showcase games for all ages from sixth graders to seniors and it went off without a hitch in our opinion.  We showed up after a nice sunny days ride up from Los Angeles and we got there right before the Freshman game was about to happen, we strapped in at the scorer table and watched some good basketball coming out of San Diego, California.  First up, we witnessed what San Diego had to offer from the Freshman class and it was pretty good, here are some names that impressed us why we watched:</span> <span style="font-size: 14pt"><strong>2021, 5'11, SG, El Capitan HS, Mackenzie Curtis</strong> <strong>(Queen of the Court MVP)</strong> is a shooting guard with a nice frame for the high school game, she is a bonefide shooter from anywhere on the court.  She can catch and shoot it, she can shoot off one or two dribbles and has a pretty good arm on her for long passes that were on the money as her teammates were on the break.  If she develops her drive game to the basket, she will be a force to reckon with.</span> <span style="font-size: 14pt"><strong>2021, 6'3, PF, The Bishops School, Jada Davis-Mack</strong> is an agile post presence that is in our opinion still developing her game for the next level.  She can rebound with the best of them, she can run the floor like a gazelle and catch passes, but her finishing is coming along.  I love her ability to pass to teammates for assist at her size and that shows me she has some IQ for for the game.  We think she can be special if all things mentioned come together for her.  Coaches a definite look is in order for Jada.  Major upside...</span> <span style="font-size: 14pt"><strong>2021, 5'6, PG/SG, Scripps Ranch HS, Macie Kinne</strong> was an agile guard on the floor this weekend that impressed us with her stroke from the outside.  She could get the shot off dribble pull up and also was an excellent catch and shoot guard as well.  She handled the rock thru pressure and was able to make passes to teammates for assist.  We were impressed with the shotmaking ability from this kid.</span> <span style="font-size: 14pt"><strong>2021, 5'9, CG, Serra HS San Diego, Angelica McBride (MVP of the Black Team)</strong> is a nice college ready body guard in our opinion with a lot of upside to her game, do not get me wrong, she can play now.  She is athletic, she runs the floor for outlet passes, she pushes the rock up the floor like a good point guard should and she can either take it to the rim or knock down the jumper.  We watched her knock down shots from all three scoring levels on the floor, she was fun to watch and her future is very bright.</span> <span style="font-size: 14pt"><strong>2021, 6'4, PF, El Capitan HS, Jacey Danks</strong> is a big body post presence that has a nice post of game in the paint.  Strong stance in the post that allows her to impose her will on her opponents by using the glass for layups.  She ran the floor got the block and sealed her opponent, could back-seal as well and finish at the rim with no problems we saw.  Needs to be in a little more shape, but it is not hurting her game one bit.  Coaches, take a look, she could be really special in the right hands.</span> &nbsp; <span style="font-size: 14pt">[robo-gallery id=111186]</span> &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;
