Filomena is a very crafty guard in transition, she always does a nice job of keeping her head up and looking to make a pass. She finishes well at the rim for her size and can knock down perimeter jumpers including the three-pointer. Has great speed to turn the corner and get an extra burst to explode to the basket. Any given game she can be the leading scorer for a talented S3 Academy team that plays some of the top competition and schedules on the east coast!

is an eye-popping athlete who had a great game on both ends for S3 Academy. Her defensive pressure was amazing, and this game changed once S3 started to press Virginia Academy. Filomena has blazing speed, and she was able to blow by players constantly. Her ball handling and court vision were elite, and she was dominant in transition.

Small yet highly energized guard; motor and endurance kept her going at 100 all the way through. Primary ball-handler who constantly scanned the floor looking to dish, but also not afraid to take it all by herself. Comfortable off the bounce.

Is a productive guard with a strong ability to get to the basket even at her size. Filomena is a smaller guard but an agile guard that is active on the defensive end, she was able to match up well versus the big guards of Seton. Good quickness and defensive awareness allow her to create turnovers and turn them into points. Don’t be fooled by her size she has great athleticism and can attack the rim at a high level just received her first from Longwood!

There are a lot of S3 players that stood out to me, but one of the players I liked a lot was Filomena Luis. Filomena is a blur in transition, and she had a few plays in the open floor that were impressive. Filomena can play a little too fast sometimes and be reckless, but she is a crafty finisher and great in the open floor.
