These early season stars are setting the tone for what's shaping up to be an exciting year of basketball.    Xin, a 5'6" senior guard from Menlo, is making her mark this season as a scoring machine. Through 8 games, she's been a model of consistency, hitting double digits in every outing while shooting with remarkable efficiency—over 50% from the field in 6 of those contests. The name speaks for itself—Kobie Crutcher is lighting up the Central Coast Section and making a statement for the freshman class. What's almost unbelievable is how effortless and natural her deep shots look for such a young player. Crutcher never hesitates to fire from beyond the arc, averaging over 6 attempts per game and converting at an impressive rate. She's already drained 17 threes in her first 6 games of the season. But she's not just a one-trick shooter—Crutcher's scoring ability inside the arc has led to standout performances, including a massive 28-point game against King City. From deep range to the paint, shots are falling for this underclassman, but the three-ball is her true weapon, and it's one that opponents are quickly learning to fear.     Another tall sharpshooter making waves, Garr—a 6-foot senior—is proving to be a threat from all areas of the court, particularly from beyond the arc. She's comfortable firing deep with plenty of attempts, showing confidence in her range and consistency. When needed, Garr can switch it up and drive inside for a strong two-pointer or a trip to the free-throw line, where she continues to capitalize.
