was a beast in the semifinals and just wreaked havoc on the Bolle’s offense. Soverain had over 5 blocked shots and netted double digits in rebounds. Soverain controlled the paint and in addition to playing great on the ball, she was also very good on the help-side defense. Souverain also showed she could score on the perimeter, connecting on a three point shot early in the game.

brought the defensive thunder with her to Lakeland and her defensive performance was “Special!l. Souverain was blocking shots against her opponent who was taller, bigger, and stronger. It didn’t matter Souverain kept bringing it. What made her defensive performance special was her ability to cover her man and provide help on the weak side. She finished the game with 7 official blocked shots, but probably had another three or four that were jump balls .
