[player_tooltip player_id='865309' first='Kendal' last='Cavenee'] is a talented prospect out of the 2027 Class and she has been vital in her team's season this Winter. Cavenee would be considered a multi-talented guard, that can move and produce on or off of the basketball. She isn't currently leading her team in PPG but she is in almost every other positive statistical category. With her mixture of talent, raw ability, and smarts - she makes for a tough guard in both the half or full courts. By the looks of it, Elm Creek should be favored to win this ball game. Anything can happen on any given day but if Cavenee plays to her best ability, they should be just fine. Tomorrow and moving forward into the Playoffs.

Broken Bow High School will compete in the 3:30 time slot against Freeman High School. Broken Bow is an outstanding 7-2 throughout their first 9 games and they are looking to add to that record. The reason this squad is winning games is because they don't rely on one individual. Instead, it's a group effort in every aspect and that is usually pretty hard to stop. Someone from their SG position, that is racking up positive stats this Winter at a high rate is [player_tooltip player_id='766752' first='Janae' last='Marten']. Marten is bringing in a team leading 11 RPG, all while being at the size of 5'6. If you want to talk about heart and passion, this is someone that falls into those categories. It takes a certain type to run into the lane and mix it up with bigger players on a consist basis. At this event I'll be looking for Marten to make a lasting impact. If she plays her game, it could go very well.

I have been impressed so far with what I've seen out of Guard - [player_tooltip player_id='1131540' first='Kenna' last='Wilcox'] of Malcolm High School. In a highly anticipated matchup, Malcolm will play against Pender in this event in the later evening. This is a fun one for multiple reasons but really I'm excited to see what everyone can string together. Wilcox competes as a high flying guard, who possesses a ton of energy while playing the game she loves. When you go to watch film on Malcolm from their contest so far this season, you notice that Wilcox is a constant and someone that you need to pay attention to. If you don't tag her early on, she could end the game with some pretty impressive numbers on both sides of the ball. There are a lot of good matchups in this event but this one could turn out to be thee best if everyone comes to play.

[player_tooltip player_id='824285' first='Kinsie' last='Land'] of Minden High School is a player on her Varsity roster that is basically second or third in every positive statistical category that you can think of, other than Rebounding. Giving a view of her play-style as well rounded from an outside perspective. Land, a 5'10 Forward, is registering 11.2 PPG, 9 RPG, 3 APG, 2 SPG, and 2 BPG to help her team to an overall undefeated record at 8-0. This team is one that has several different moving pieces to it and all those pieces bring something else to the table. Land is the one in the middle that handles anyone that might try to get to the bucket. She is also the one that they can give the ball to near the rim with some time to work and you know she is going to get a good look at the basket in one way or another. I'm excited to see what this game will turn into. It's the last one of the day so hopefully there are some fireworks.

If you are looking for a prospect with height, length, and potential - look no further than [player_tooltip player_id='1131564' first='Lauren' last='Parde'] of Freeman High School. Parde's size stands out over most while she is competing and that size play a major factor in helping her team. Freeman comes into the week of this event with an 8-0 record, beating everyone who has been in their way so far. A big reason for this team's success is truly how well Parde can protect then basket. Not only is she really tall for her age, she also has a high motor, always flying all over the floor. There are even times where she is getting steals against their opponents because of her willingness to go for the ball in their pressing situation. Don't get me wrong, Parde has a long way to go to unlock her full potential but it's there. She just needs to keep on working.
