<p>Incarnate Word Academy made history on Saturday with its 68-51 victory over Blue Valley North at the Sophie Cunningham Classic in Columbia.</p>

<p>It marked the 139th consecutive victory for the Red Knights, which sets a new national record for girls basketball. IWA entered Saturday's contest tied with Central Plains (KS). Incarnate Word's winning streak dates back to the 2020 season.</p>

<p>The Red Knights put three players in double figures in the victory, led by 2026 guard Addi Owens with 20 points. The 5'4" point guard made five of his six attempts from 3-point range. IWA also got 10 points each from 2025 Indiana recruit [player_tooltip player_id='624398' first='Nevaeh' last='Caffey'] and 2025 Eastern Michigan recruit [player_tooltip player_id='302784' first='Peyton' last='Hill'].</p>

<p>Incarnate Word improved its record to 8-0 on the current season. They will got after consecutive victory 140 today in Columbia when they take on Chicago Whitney Young in their second game at the Sophie Cunningham Classic.</p>
