This aggressive hooper is just a problem on the floor. Versatile in so many ways, she can lock down on the defensive end and score the rock from all 3 levels. Her size and speed pose a threat to opponents. She can attack from the arc, knock down the mid-range, and be physical in the paint. Ultimately, her ability to score and defend at a high level separates her from most. It will be interesting to see which schools will be looking at her this upcoming season. Solid prospect who will be turning heads.

Sophomore Kataria Tolbert’s already good offensive game has improved in her sophomore season.
This season, Tolbert has had multiple games with 20 or more points. At 5’10”, Tolbert, unlike most high school players, has solid dribbling skills. This allows her to push the floor herself after securing a rebound, which sometimes leads to fastbreak buckets. Tolbert, at her size, also has an improving three-point jumper. In a game against Wilson Central, she had two makes from beyond the arc.
Tolbert’s main offensive production, however, does take place in the paint. She is highly athletic, so she can rise and get good looks above a swarm of defenders. And she has good strength, so she can bully her way through contact and displace some defenders defending her down low. One of her best offenisve game sthis season came against Rockvale High School Where Tolbert scored 29 points.

This young lady is about to bring it this sophomore season. She was a problem as a freshman, creating mismatches as she was carving up defenses with her ability to score the basketball. She can step out and shoot the 3 ball, do work consistently around the blocks, but what stood out to me was her ability to create off the dribble, leaving defenders in the dust. She is a high motor kid who is big time on the boards as well as blocking tons of shots. Look for her to continue on this trajectory and become a name coaches near and far will be talking about.

A monster of a talent, this kid is truly something special. A force to be reckoned with, she is Tennessee’s version of a young Draymond Green. She can handle the rock, attack from the perimeter to finish at the rim, shoot consistently from multiple spots on the floor, just put it this way, she’s a finisher who knows how to score the basketball. KT plays with a motor, and it’s not just on the offensive side of the ball. Defensively, she is going to get steals, block shots, and get rebounds. This kid is talented and is a star in the making.
