<span style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif">SAND SPRINGS, Okla. -- Sand Springs defeated Ponca City <span style="text-decoration: underline"><strong>62-47</strong></span> Tuesday night at Charles Page High School to open the 2019-2020 season. Both teams experienced their respective highs as the Sandites pulled away in the fourth quarter thanks to a 22-point period. The players listed below were the most outstanding prospects from the game.</span>

<span style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;font-size: 14pt"><strong><span style="color: #0000ff">Journey Armstead</span> | 2022 PG | Sand Springs</strong></span>
<span style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif">Journey Armstead passed the ball well about her teammates, helping the Sandites to score and drive Sand Springs’s half-court offense. Armstead also passed the ball well in the full court. She also was impressive shooting the ball out-of-the-dribble. Altogether, Armstead was possible the most athletic, skilled and intelligent player on the floor for the Sandites last night as she led all scorers with 23 points.</span>

<span style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;font-size: 14pt"><strong><span style="color: #0000ff">Baylee Fincher</span> | 2020 PG | Ponca City</strong></span>
<span style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif">Baylee Fincher finished the ball extraordinarily well at the rim, and she was also one of the best defenders on the floor. Her ability to stay in front of ball-handlers was a testament to her athleticism, primarily her lateral speed. Fincher was great about turning defense into offense and helped to keep Ponca City in the game late. She finished with 8 points.</span>

<span style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;font-size: 14pt"><strong><span style="color: #0000ff">Ryley Beard</span> | 2020 W | Ponca City</strong></span>
<span style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif">Ryley Beard was one of the brightest points for the Lady Wildcats and one of the most talented shooters of the evening. She knocked down a 3-pointer early and shot 90 percent from the line to finish with 10 points in the loss.</span>

<span style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;font-size: 14pt"><strong><span style="color: #0000ff">Sophia Regalado</span> | 2023 F | Sand Springs</strong></span>
<span style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif">Sophia Regalado was fantastic in escaping behind the Ponca City defense and stealing easy buckets from the adversary. Despite coming off-the-bench, Regalado proved to be one the most productive players for the Sandites.</span>

<span style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;font-size: 14pt"><strong><span style="color: #0000ff">Hailey Jackson</span> | 2023 W | Sand Springs</strong></span>
<span style="font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif">Hailey Jackson tied for second-leading scorer in the game with 12 points, behind a great performance from the inside and mid-range games. She has exceptional footwork and is great at flashing to holes in the defense before sinking shots.</span>
