About Miraldina
Expert Analysis
BJ Batson | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Buitchi was critical for Essence all weekend long, but especially on championship Sunday where her size and skill were instrumental in the their win versus an outstanding All Iowa Attack team. Buitchi moves extremely well at 6’6, at one point creating a steal and going coast to coast before finishing a contested layup at the rim. The fluidity and ease with which she moves so well is very rare for a someone that tall. She did a very good job defending on the perimeter keeping much smaller ball handlers in front of her and on the back end she used her anticipation and timing to swat shots far away from the rim. Buitchi’s ability to catch the ball in tight quarters, keep it high away from guards, and finish at the rim makes her one of the best post prospects in the ’29 class in the Southeast.

anchored the interior on both ends of the floor and the Junior center grew stronger as the game tightened. Her post presence, rebounding ability, and her finishes around the rim were elite. Defensively, she controlled the paint with discipline and used positioning and timing to alter and block shots in crunch time. Her ability to block shots without fouling showcased her basketball IQ on the defensive end of the floor. As the game closed, her impact was very clear on both sides of the ball.

Miraldina has re-classed to the 2027 class which boosts her stock. You’d have a hard time finding a player in the country with her size, shooting ability, and overall feel for the game. Her overall game has one of the highest ceilings you’ll be able to find anywhere. She has received offers from George Mason and Florida this month.

is a true rim protector—if you enter the paint, you better get your shot off quickly, or there’s a good chance it’s getting sent into the crowd. Offensively, the 6’6″ forward can finish over either shoulder, making her nearly unstoppable once she gets two feet in the paint. She consistently shoots over her matchups with ease, forcing defenders to do their work early if they hope to slow her down.

Miraldina is an instant eye-catcher when you walk into the gym. She has elite size and she’s incredibly mobile and skilled for her height/length. There might not be a player in Florida with more potential than her & colleges will clearly take notice of that. She’s in a great situation to get exposure and continue developing her game for the next level.

Miraldina is an Angolan (central Africa) hooper that moved to the States and has the most height and length of any player in Florida’s 2026 class. She moves incredibly well for her size and can even handle the rock a bit. Miraldina can shoot it from outside, play physical in the post, and use her length to deter shots and grab virtually every rebound. So much upside with this raw talent!
