Young is one of two representatives from 6A Terry that comprise The SisterHood Lady Lions 16U Bolden roster this AAU season. She did her part – and then some – in ensuring the Mississippi-based team would return home after a perfect weekend in Guntersville. She stands at 5-foot-8 but will put herself in position to grab rebounds – a trait not always common in backcourt players. Young’s weekend included a nine-point performance in that 67-37 victory over Team Elite Hubbard 16U Josh. In addition, she stayed clear of the referee’s whistle as she did not have a personal foul called against her in that game.
