Being a taller prospect from a young age can be interesting. It can be a blessing at times and it can also be a curse but no matter which it is, it is noticeable from afar to anyone that might be paying attention. In this piece we speak about five prospects between the 12-14U age levels, that demonstrates superior height compared to most around them.

Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!

One of the first players that stood out to me at this event this weekend was [player_tooltip player_id='1223564' first='Gavynn' last='Hall'] of [program_tooltip program_id='834910' first='Example' last='Sports'] 2029 Red squad. Hall, a 6'0 Forward has some impressive ability in the post game. She can either bang down low in the paint or she can bring it out and screen into a seal going towards the basket for an east look. You can tell that Hall is still learning the process but she has a bright future with her size, demeanor, and willingness to learn from the others around her in the paint. She is the tallest on the floor most of the time, even while playing up a grade level and this experience is only going to make her better in the future.

Adeline Michael has demonstrated that she has some guard like tendencies with her size at 6'0. Michael, someone who is listed as a 6'0 SG, isn't the fastest up the floor but she gives a great effort. Her length helps her mismatch against her defender and that leads to steals for her on defense, usually getting easy looks at the bucket off of the cut or post up. Michael stands out above most, literally and metaphorically for her age level but that shouldn't satisfy her. This is someone who is hungry to be the best version of herself. If she can accomplish even 50% of that goal through out high school, she is going to be a standout because of her mixture of natural size and ability.

[player_tooltip player_id='1219329' first='Mia' last='Cigler'] starts things off on the right foot Saturday by catching in the middle against a zone, putting it on the floor, and getting to her spots near the basket where she can finish with ease over individuals both smaller and bigger on the offensive end. Cigler is already at 6'0 in height but that she can move like a guard from the outside. Displaying her versatility That is what is most impressive about her game right now. She understands her mismatches and that she should be spreading her opponents out before taking them to the lane. She excused that at a consistent rate on Saturday so hopefully she can build on that momentum.

Sometimes a players game is so experienced at a young age that it is kind of shocking. In this case, [player_tooltip player_id='1205920' first='Reese' last='Brown'] seems to have seasoned post moves, a calculated offensive attacking style, and discipline when it matters the most. All of her attempts don't fall but they are always solid looks on either block when she puts them up. She isn't the type to take no for an answer in whatever she is doing it seems and that speaks volumes to what she is going to be able to accomplish in this sport in the future. [program_tooltip program_id='712375' first='All' last='in'] all, Brown navigates the middle pretty well and there is a solid base to build on here.

[player_tooltip player_id='1226585' first='Madison' last='Locke'] of [program_tooltip program_id='713328' first='Team' last='1848'] -13U is a prospect of opportunity. She prowls the lane looking for the right moment to get a big rebound or the right moment to step into space for an open look when her defender is paying attention. She is also a force in the rebounding department on both ends as she sits in the lane looking for any action that might be coming her way. Her team is also a big reason for her success as they know how to get her the b[program_tooltip program_id='712375' first='All' last='in'] prime spots near the hoop. Usually resulting in an open attempt or foul by the defense, leading to foul shots and foul makes by Locke.
