About Samantha

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a combo guard who can play a variety of spots on the court. I am able to see the court very well and use mismatches to my best ability. Because of my size and strength, I am able to post up against guards my size or smaller and drive past post, depending on who is guarding me.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am very passionate when it comes to the things I love. In basketball and in the other sports I play I am encouraging to my teammates and a leader, on and off the court. I try my hardest and I am determined no matter the situation.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Business Professionals of America A Honor Roll - All semesters Student Council

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that I will be able to play competitive, high level basketball all while pursuing an education in business or in the medical field. I am not too picky about the size of the college, but I would prefer a college within 8 hours of my hometown.

Konz, a 5’8 guard from Morris, made major strides this past season. She plays fast and sees the floor well, showing good passing instincts and awareness. Konz brings a strong motor and physicality to the defensive end and rebounds well for her position. At the PGH Expo, she fought through an ankle injury and still made a meaningful impact – testament to her toughness. She’s becoming more comfortable playing with pace and hitting the three, and her overall confidence has grown. Konz is a steady presence who continues to evolve into a well-rounded and impactful guard.
