Buffington is one of those #sizedontmatter guards I love to hashtag because, you guessed it, she can play. Let me start with her poise under pressure as well as her decision making, which also adds "heady" to the equation, but her scoring off the dribble as well as dropping the jumper were also nice, so was her court vision

Gerald was playing up, and I foresee her taking her skillset UP and AWAY because she too is heady and also falls into that #sizedontmatter group, but peep this. Her "on the ball" pressure, coupled with her quick hands, got her some steals. She saw the floor in the set as well as in the open court and attacked and finished off the dribble

Simpson does a good job playing within herself and shows she could get hers "in the flow". She dropped the banker, which helped change the momentum, but she also did that, making a defensive stop. Her defense across the board was solid

Rogers was another player who played solid defense, yet her reading the floor and playing the passing lane JUST DID IT for me because I love seeing that. She has a deceptive first step, which gets the defender off balance, so she can score or dish off the dribble

Gilmore is an athletic guard who does a good job using her athleticism on both ends. Her defensive pressure stood out immediately, and to add icing on the cake, she played the passing lane. She also attacked the basket strongly and finished using nice body control

Holdridge does a good job creating her shot under pressure to take the jumper or attack the basket. Her court vision was solid across the board, and so was her defense. She understands positioning, and also did a good job rebounding, and playing the passing lane needs to be mentioned as well
