Alyse is another guard on our rankings watch list who I’d love to see at The Expo. When I watched her with Great Lakes Grind at the PGH Michigan State Tournament, I liked the way she played without the ball and made smart reads within the offense. She timed her cuts well, worked effectively in the pick-and-roll, and used seals to create opportunities around the basket. Alyse also showed the ability to grab a defensive rebound and immediately push the pace in transition. I’d love another opportunity to watch her compete and see where her game is now as we continue evaluating players for our rankings.

Alyse is a promising prospect in the Great Lakes Grind program, and she had a solid weekend at our Michigan State Tournament. Alyse has the versatility to play several positions on the court, is a difference maker on defense, and has straight-line speed to score off the dribble. She finished shots off two feet around the basket and layups with good touch off the glass. One of her best plays was a sweet give-and-go play where she cut backdoor with a burst for a layup. Alyse makes an all-around impact on the court.

She showed great awareness off the ball, timing her cuts well and executing the pick-and-roll with precision alongside her teammate. On baseline inbound plays, she sealed her defender effectively to create scoring opportunities. After pulling down defensive boards, she wasted no time pushing the tempo and getting her team into transition.
