We have more standouts from last weekend's Battle in the [program_tooltip program_id='713343' first='Emerald' last='City'], this time highlighting some of the eye-catching slashers from the event. Check out some of the 17U players getting to the rim over the weekend.

Camryn Tait | Kia Nurse Elite | 6'1 | Sequam (CAN) 2026

Tait is a guard/wing with some great size and strength. She showed early on she wanted to attack angles and get downhill, knowing she could get a good look inside if she could just get a step on her defender. Drew quite a few fouls inside to work to the foul line and also showed some touch in the midrange with a few pull-ups and catch-and-shoot chances.

Callie Brost | Kia Nurse Elite | 5'11 | Sequam (CAN) 2026

Brost was great at attacking gaps quickly off the catch and was a mainstay at the hoop, hustling up the floor in transition to get the rock with momentum, and showing some good gap recognition to attack in the half-court. Put a lot of strain on the interior and help defenders with her constant downhill attacks and also made a few highlight defensive plays with her hustle.

Kinsey Murray | Kidd Select | 5'9 | Valley Vista (AZ) 2027

The Kidd Select guard showed off some impressive speed with the ball over the weekend. She had great acceleration and identified gaps quickly, was eager to get the outlet and go, and had the presence to go until she was stopped with every touch. Handled the ball well in different scenarios and added some key pace for them on the offensive end.

Brookeslee Colvin | Blazers GUAA | 5'8 | Coeur d'Alene (ID) 2027

Colvin was strong across the board, knocked in some outside shots, made a few excellent touch passes over the defense leading teammates to the hoop, and showed some great hustle and ability to contribute on the boards. But she was outstanding with her slashing ability and that ended up being her shining trait. She had good speed, long strides, and was efficient with her dribbles getting downhill and to the bucket.

[player_tooltip player_id='932007' first='Natalie' last='Semprimoznik'] | [program_tooltip program_id='715288' first='Spokane' last='Legacy'] | 5'9 | Freeman 2026

Semprimoznik was really effective across multiple areas last weekend, scoring from different levels with threes, tough buckets inside, and attacking space off the bounce. And while she was able to space the floor from distance, she was most impactful drawing contact in the paint and getting to the rim. Had various moves inside to find space at the cup and was a really tough slasher for [program_tooltip program_id='715288' first='Spokane' last='Legacy'].

[player_tooltip player_id='688518' first='Ashley' last='Fletcher'] | [program_tooltip program_id='713894' first='EBC' last='Elite'] | 5'9 | Archbishop Murphy 2027

Fletcher was a ball of energy this weekend, using her speed to push the ball up the floor, whiz by defenders to the hoop, and keep a constant pressure on the defense with her ability to go. And while she was super effective using her burst and speed to get down lanes to the hoop, she was also more than willing to push the ball up the floor with her passes and do whatever she could to keep some life in the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='663650' first='Emma' last='Bryant'] | NW Blazers Montana | 5'6 | Deer Park 2026

Had some great set up moves along the perimeter to get going downhill and was pretty crafty and tough working around that second layer of defenders in close. Was especially strong attacking down the left side and had great touch and focus with various finishes to evade some tight contests. Overall, just a smooth downhill attacker who can get by her defender in various ways.

We have more standouts from last weekend's Battle in the Emerald City , this time highlighting some of the eye-catching slashers from the event. Check out some of the 17U players getting to the rim over the weekend.
