Each player has a different path that they are on as they try to climb the mountain top. Some will plateau, while others will climb to new peaks and valleys along the way. It's not about how you start, but where you will finish and how impactful you will be along the way. Some kids get the opportunity early on in their freshman year to come in and contribute right away. While others may see limited minutes on varsity or have to play JV until their time/ number is called.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>My point is this: as a player, my advice to you is to control what you can control and keep working hard. This game is a long grind, a process, and you must embrace where your feet are and then thrive when your number is called. You may see little opportunity now, but be ready for when your big moment arrives. You aren't the only one who may be patiently waiting for their opportunity. She is a solid two-way ball player who can score from all three levels as well as attack off the bounce, getting to the rim. She's defensively solid, getting steals, deflections, and contributing on the boards. Earning her way to play more minutes, I know this young lady will shine as she has done so on the circuit this season. She's a hungry individual who will thrive once given the opportunity. This young lady can score the rock from multiple spots on the floor, but it is her passing ability that sets her apart from other PGs around the state. She has great court vision, can thread the needle, and run an offense effectively and efficiently. She's good on the defensive end, can hold her own against bigger opponents. Where she thrives is in the open floor, pushing the pace, setting the tone. She is a throwback type of PG that looks to rack up the assists. She is fearless, plays the game with a certain type of edge, and she's going to bring it every time she steps onto the floor. She can do all things, and when it comes to the game itself, she just plays and plays hard. She does the little things right and will go the extra mile to what is needed to secure the basketball. She makes the hustle plays, which, in my opinion, sets her apart from other prospects. She can score from all three levels, rebound on both ends of the floor, compete against bigger players, and really execute anything asked of her. Her game is rebounding, but she, too, can get buckets as well. She can do it on the interior or stretch the floor and knock it down from the arc, my point is that this ballplayer is efficient and effective when she is on the floor. She will see more minutes this upcoming season. With that being said, I believe her numbers will increase in multiple categories. An overlooked attribute of hers is her ability to defend multiple positions. She just gets after it, grinding away.
