Ahlstrom played with a ton of energy and showed a strong burst off the dribble that consistently pressured the defense. Her defensive intensity and overall motor were also among the best at the event.

Millie showed exactly why she is the reigning Defensive Player of the Year in her region. She brought tremendous energy on that end of the floor and used her active hands to constantly disrupt whoever she was matched up against. She competes, applies pressure, and makes offensive players uncomfortable throughout a possession.

Millie played very well this past weekend. Millie processes the game of basketball very well. She anticipates rotations early. She makes sound decisions with the ball within her team’s offensive structure. She has become better at identifying mismatches. She plays with a natural command of the offense when she has the ball. She continues to demonstrate readiness to expand her leadership presence. She rarely exposes the basketball. She demonstrates excellent control of the basketball with both hands. Millie rebounds well beyond her positional expectations. She has active hands on defense. Millie continues to improve her acceleration mechanics. Millie appears confident when switching and plays with a strong competitive effort. Her defensive consistency continues to grow.

If there was an award for the most unselfish player at the event Ahlstrom would’ve won it. Very unselfish player who consistently made the right plays for her team. An ‘extra pass’ player. Plays the pick and roll patiently and made great passes that lead to scoring opportunities. Great awareness. One of the better help defenders at the Expo. Has a very good pump fake and an explosive step to beat her defender. Don’t let her unselfishness fool you she showed the ability to score the ball very well from just about anywhere. Millie was a tremendous competitor and her leadership on was also very noticeable.

Millie is another player looking to build off a strong Section 7 performance with her Mountain View team. The combo guard has been steadily gaining confidence, and you can see it in the way she approaches the game. She is becoming more comfortable making plays, taking her shot, and running the offense. If she continues to play with the same confidence and pace, she could turn some heads during July.

One of the fastest risers in the 2027 class, Ahlstrom has impressed with her energy and confidence at the point guard position. She pushes the pace well, has solid vision in transition, and is fearless when attacking the lane. Her leadership qualities have also started to emerge, making her a reliable floor general for Mountain View. With continued development, she could be one of the more dynamic guards in the East Valley before season’s end.

Ahlstrom was one of the surprises of the event. She came out with a lot of energy and was all over the place. She was very aggressive on offense as she got to her mid-range shots very easily. She is a solid defender who did a good job of keeping ballhandlers in front of her.
