How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style is similar to Chris Paul. I love to push the ball up the court and get my teammates open for a great shot. I can knock down the three point shot, create off the dribble, and create off of the pick and roll. My coaches tell me I'm a lock down defender. I tend to guard the best guard on the floor to dictate the pace of the game.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I'm very determined to be successful in anything that I do, school or sports. I take losing as learning experiences to get better. I have an outgoing personality. I love to laugh and make new friends.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

At school I have received the peacemaker award. This award was given to students who went out of their way to help another student or students.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed leadership qualities over the years through the camps, coaches, and teachers I've met. I've learned to communicate with my peers and teammates. Coaches and teachers have turned to me to be the leader of the group. I learned to communicate my coaches message to my teammates and do the same with my teachers. I've learned to navigate through conflict and find solutions.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

This summer I have faced the challenge of being the starting varsity point guard for my high school team. As a freshman, I've learned how much faster and physical the game is at the varsity level. I've been working hard in the gym to better prepare for the upcoming season.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for a college that offers a great science program as I aspire to be dentist or orthodontist. I'm looking for a college where I can also continue to play basketball, run track, or play flag football.
