About Malin

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Very much run and gun. Team player, and always looking to score. Unselfish, just want to win.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Friends with everyone, and I try to be very positive. Having a good mentally is a big part in basketball so staying focused and keeping everyone motivated is a big part.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

FCA, Science Award, Art award, U of I solar power car mechanics, Band, all A+ all three years of middle school.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

At my school I was apart of the crimsons in action. I was a leader and was able to show younger kids around and get to know them better so they felt good about middle school. I love helping with fellowship of christian athletes as well and being able to show how God has helped me through my sports journey in many ways.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I fractured my foot last year and had to recover. This was a setback but i fought through it. Sitting out is one of the worst things you could ever do, but when i got back i was ready to keep going at my dream.

What type of college are you looking for?

My dream is to go to a D1 school for basketball. I’m undecided on what I would like to major in.
