Aaliyah Mack
About Aaliyah
Expert Analysis
Miles Orr | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Aaliyah is a strong, physical post presence who plays with fearless aggression, making her a difficult matchup on the block. As the season has progressed, she has shown improved patience and composure in the post, allowing her to get to her spots and finish consistently at the rim.
Defensively, she has taken a step forward as a rim protector, rotating on time to help on drives and using her size and strength to alter shots in the paint.
She has also become a more reliable decision-maker when facing double teams. She reads where the help is coming from, stays poised, and delivers sharp passes—whether it’s a cross-court kick-out or a dump-off to a cutter.

is already one of the premier post players in the state, showcasing an elite blend of strength, footwork, and poise. She plays with patience well beyond her years, quickly establishing deep position and calmly choosing how to attack once she catches the ball. Defenses have few answers—front her and she’ll seal, catch over the top, and finish through help; play from behind and she’ll bury her defender on the block and score with authority. She’s equally comfortable against double teams, showing the ability to split defenders or find open teammates for cuts and three-point looks. Aaliyah’s dominance will continue to draw attention as the season progresses.

Aaliyah is a potentially game-changer for an already stacked Fairmont Prep Squad . All league as a freshman type of prospect that’s already showing in preseason showcase play the impact she will have this season on both sides of the ball. Rim protector/shot changer that rim runs with purpose and has solid hands. DOMINATE force down low. Seals + creates space, demands the ball well and finishes with patience. Has multiple post moves, uses her body at a high level to create space and easy buckets. D1 level big to keep an eye on

Aaliyah was flawless at the John Lucas Top 160 last month. Elite rim protector, runs the floor, exceptional footwork, and a nice shooting touch. Arizona was her 1st official D1 offer back in June, but that list will grow exponentially as the year goes on. Aaliyah is light on her feet and has a high motor. Has shown an ability to take it coast-to-coast from time to time. She will take and make the open jumper extending to the 3pt line, but Aaliyah does not fall in love with the jumper. She will put her head down and dominate inside on the offensive end. Has the strength to overpower interior defenders. Has legit post moves to compliment her all-around game. She is a walking mismatch! Aaliyah has one of the highest ceilings in the post regardless of class.

Mack is another big-time prospect to emerge at Fresh Faces. She has good size and potential. She has good strength and athletic ability, and moves without the ball well. With continued development, she will be one of the most sought-after post prospects on the West Coast. I still expect her to be a high major prospect.
