Player Bio

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a true point guard at heart that is always hustling. I love to get my teammates involved and I value assists over scoring. However, I am able to create my own shot and get to the basket when needed. I take pride in my defense and I never shy away from the best offensive opponent.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I would describe myself as a hard worker, selfless, disciplined, easily coached and self motivated. I am generally more introverted in my personal life but on the court I work to be an outspoken leader for my team. I am typically level set and I don't play into the highs and lows of life. I feel this helps me in basketball because I am quick to forget mistakes but also quick to learn from them.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am currently in my second year of managing Varsity Softball for Frederick Highschool. I attend Fellowship of Christian Athletes meetings at my school. I have lettered twice in academics in high school.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am the youngest in my biological family but my family has done foster care since I was born. Being a foster sibling has taught me to have compassion and empathy towards others through sacrificing my personal space and relationship time with my biological parents and siblings. I feel like it has taught me to be a true leader and value a team setting.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I made the Varsity team my sophomore year, but early in the season I was demoted to JV. I was disappointed and embarrassed but I worked as hard as I could to prove that I belonged on Varsity. Towards the end of the regular season, I was brought back up to Varsity and I ended playing serious minutes to finish out the season and playoffs. I was awarded the Golden Eagle award from our Coach.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that fits with my academic goals and also has a strong basketball program and coaching staff. Honestly, my love for basketball is what drives me and I know that no matter where I end up, I will be happy to just continue my passion.
