Lyza defended the ball with all-out pressure and did something you don’t see much at the high school level–communicated with teammates on offense. She called out her teammates by name to make sure they knew the pass was coming their way. Lyza drove down the baseline with a burst to score a reverse layup and picked up a loose ball to score a layup with her left hand. She pushed the ball swiftly in transition, changed directions with shifty crossovers, and used a sweet high pick-up move to avoid a defender.
