About Tyla’Grace

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Tyla’Grace is a high-energy, competitive player who impacts the game on both ends of the court. She is known for her strong scoring ability, especially attacking the basket and creating opportunities in transition. She plays with confidence, hustle, and awareness, and is always looking to make the right play for her team. Defensively, she brings intensity and effort.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Tyla’Grace has a resilient and determined mindset. She holds herself to a high standard and is always striving to improve. While she can be hard on herself at times, it comes from her desire to be great. She is coachable, disciplined, and grounded in her faith, which helps her stay focused and push through challenges. As Captain, she brings positive energy to her team and leads by example.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Tyla’Grace is actively involved in her school and athletic community. In addition to basketball and volleyball, she participates in faith-based activities and youth development opportunities. She has earned recognition for her performance in sports, including team awards and multiple MVP honors, Rookie of The Year and is known for her character both on and off the court.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through sports and life experiences, Tyla’Grace has developed strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills, leading by example with her work ethic, discipline, and positive attitude. Beyond the court, she is actively involved in her community, participating in toy drives to support underprivileged children, helping distribute food boxes to families in need, and mentoring younger athletes.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Tyla’Grace has faced challenges that have tested her confidence and resilience, including experiencing moments of unfair treatment and discrimination on the court, but she continues to grow stronger mentally and emotionally by staying focused, maintaining confidence, and letting her performance speak for itself. These experiences have shaped her into a determined, and poised athlete.

What type of college are you looking for?

Tyla’Grace is looking for a college that will challenge her both academically and athletically, where she can compete at a high level and continue to grow under coaches who value discipline, teamwork, and character, while also being part of a supportive environment that aligns with her values and faith and helps her develop into a well-rounded young woman prepared for her future.
